Default Our Nudist Pictures

My wife, Julie, and I recently posted an album of nudists reading nudist magazines. That started us talking about our photographic past. We both remembered or families gathering at home or camp, eagerly paging through the newest magazines to find photos of ourselves. To see what it was like:

Back in the 60's and 70's our home nudist club, the Swallows, used to have "resident" photographers that, with permission of the subjects's parents, would take pictures of young nudists in "action". Over the years we had a lot of pictures taken of us and our friends horsing around by the pool, running around, playing tetherball, etc. These were then 'published' in the Swallows own printed newsletter, 'Swallow Tails'. We appeared in 8 of these issues over the years. A couple of times one of these photographers were invited to document special parties at our home ( my sister's 18th birthday and my parents' 25 anniversary ).

My parents and my sister also appeared in five regular nudist magazines ( Sun Era twice, Nudist Idea, Sundial & Nudist Holiday ) during that period. My in-laws and their daughters actually appeared in many more publications than us and we occasionally run across some of these old pictures on the web. Being very attractive and outgoing, they all were popular subjects for the magazine photographers. In their den they had a bookshelf with over 50 nudist magazines in which they had appeared individually or as a group.

We have often been asked if we take or don't mind to have others take nude pictures of ourselves, individually, as a couple or as a family. Yes, we have had many nude photos of us taken by us or others over the years. Initially on film but now digital. Some of these photos, mostly from the 1970's, appeared in nudist magazines.

We are also asked if we share these photos with our nudist friends. Not so much in the days of film and printed photos. But now in the digial age we often share many of our event and activity photos with our group of nudist friends. In the past we used to post some group photos on the now defunct NATURISTFAMILY.NET site, but stopped doing so when we ran across a few of them re-posted on TUMBLR. We now all respect the group's strict "don't reshare" rule and avoid "accidental" distribution on the web. However, we have posted some of our own personal photos on the web.

All of our family photo albums ( mostly film photos taken by my parents and sister ), nudist magazines and other family treasures were lost in a large wildfire that destroyed over 2000 homes in San Diego County back in 2003. We are now left only with our recent digital photos and memories of our early nudist lives.
