On other times she might say that she needed to get some new bras and discuss that, or talk about specific characteristics she did or didn't want her bras to have. Color, cup, strap size, underwire, decorations etc. etc.
It came to the point that I knew her preferences and could recognize, although she was wearing a shirt, which bra she might have on.
Let it be clear that this did would only happen with my wife present, it was never something she'd do if my wife wasn't there.
I don't think my sister in law ever realized how much these conversations aroused me - to her it was just another item of clothing she was discussing. Granted she might not discuss the topic with other men but with me, given the familiarity and comfort level, she didn't mind. And again, she wasn't really discussing it with me, she was discussing it with us: her sister and sister's mate who just happened to be present.
Anyhow, I got many hours of titillation out of it and even some fun experiences when she would show her sister, with me present, a new bra she bought.

Yes, it's always fun when you're comfortable with a group of friends or individuals (or SIL in your instance) and they're okay sharing more information like that with you.
In college, I always enjoyed playing drinking games with my wife and our friends and sometimes the drinking game would ask about the color of underwear you were wearing. Like one of those card games where you draw a Truth/Dare or similar on a phone app. Obviously pretty low-key, but I found it sexy to hear one of my wife's good friends who I'd known forever say that she was wearing something red, pink, gray, black, etc. Usually another friend would chime in and ask what kind or maybe (if I was lucky) ask to see. That would lead to saying "oh, just a gray thong.." or pulling a brief thong strap up out of their jeans for a quick glance.
Very low-key, but incredibly sexy from friends who you never experience anything sexual with.
