You know the old joke "I didn't recognise you with your clothes on"? Well I've found that I don't recognise people with their clothes off!
I can think of at least two recent occasions where this has happened.
My local sauna is a small, unpretentious place, and it gets pretty cramped when it's busy. It's nothing fancy, but it has all you need - a couple of saunas, a steam room, a lounge area, and of course some showers. Just so you can picture it, there are four showers, three along one wall, and one more, at right angles to the other three.
So there I was, enjoying a nice shower, facing the wall, when I heard a voice behind me say "Hi". I turned to see a woman getting under the shower at right angles to me. She's a bit younger than me. Long, dark hair.
"Do I know you?", I asked, politely looking her right in the eyes.
"We live in the same building!"
"Oh!" The penny dropped. I don't know her very well, but we have chatted a few times. And now here we both are, close enough that if we both took a half step forward, we'd collide, and not a stitch of clothing between us.
Awesome.
She smiled sheepishly. "OK, I'll ignore you, and you can ignore me"
"Oh don't worry about it, it's not a big deal"
Now, being in the shower with women happens every time I come here, so I'm used to it. But once I realised I knew her, a normally innocent situation suddenly became an erotic one. I had to turn my back again before it became obvious it was turning me on. She finished up and went on her way, and I waited a bit longer till everything died down.
Since then I've seen her in there one more time. Maybe she noticed me, maybe not. She was with a friend and didn't speak to me. But at least this time I got to have a good look at her. Now every time I see her in the street, all I can think about is her thick, dark bush.
