I remember from the 1970 that the IRA and UDF use to use strippings with tar and feathering's as punishment for woman of a certain occupation or woman that had assist authorities. I use to have a picture of a woman tied to a lamp post bare breasted from a book on the troubles. Don't think there was ever any TV footage and video records etc weren't around much then.
I also remember in the press about two female police officers who where caught by the IRA. They got off rather lightly. They where stripped naked and locked in their car boot.
I suspect that there was a lot more unreported stuff. I think we only got the stuff on the mainland which was thought politically expedient to show us.
