I'm wondering when the memo went out telling women to shave.

My memory is one day every woman had hair. The next day, no woman did.
I became sexually active in the early 2000s and that was the time that, at least in Europe where I lived, women around my age started to shave. My first partner had a trimmed bush but during our relationship she decided to start shaving, so 2002 was the first time I saw a bald pussy. According to her, out of her friends group of 6 or 7 girls, only 1 other girl shaved at that moment.

During that era, it was a bit of a mix what I encountered with other women. Some were shaved bare, others kept a bush. An ex-girlfriend once offered me that she was willing to shave her bush, but I liked it so I declined. Our relationship didn't last that long, so I never got the chance again to see her without a bush.

My wife was shaved when I met her, experimented with different styles in the first years of our relationship, then kept a full bush for 13 years, and ultimately went back to shaving since the beginning of this year.

My preference when it comes to female pubic hair has changed from time to time, but currently I love it that my wife keeps it smooth, and she loves it as well. I don't think she will go back to growing out a full bush anytime soon.
