Another story from the 70's. The first time I went to Europe I befriended a young woman from New Orleans in front of the David statue. We hung out later and had a drink and I mentioned how much I loved the fact that European women often didn't wear bras. We had to go back to our rooms at that point, but agreed to meet later that evening. When she arrived it was sans bra! I took that as a good sign, and it was.

Funny ending to this story. We got very drunk on Italian red wine (1000/lira a bottle in those days: $1!) and I ended up in her hotel room where we fucked and passed out. At some point in the morning her alarm clock went off and she or I just knocked it to the floor since we were both very hungover. When we finally awoke she screamed, "Shit, my girl friend just arrived from America and I was supposed to meet her at the train station!" We rushed over there and found the friend. Do you know the phrase, "Looked daggers?" Well, it's a true observation because that's what the friend did to me. There was to be no second pass at Ms. New Orleans.
