In her younger days my late wife was a bank manager with the Surrey Trustee Savings Bank (STSB), part of the TSB group that was eventually absorbed by Lloyds Bank many decades ago.

Although in a high profile professional career, clandestinely (and certainly without the knowledge of bank's hierarchy) Elizabeth appeared in a number of the best known UK top shelf magazines in the 1970 & 80s. She also did a number of shoots for individual professional photographers, sometimes absenting herself for an afternoon from her bank branch (time off approved by Head Office) leaving her chief clerk to look after the bank whilst she undertook a shoot.

This is an image from a shoot she did for Eric Witheyman, the owner of a photographic retail and studio hire business in Godalming, Surrey. He had requested she join his portfolio of available models for hire after one of his clients saw her in Mayfair and she, along with myself (her husband) visited Mr Witheyman one afternoon for this purpose.

She didn't have time to go home to change into something more glamorous and went to the studio at Willow Photographic in Godalming High Street, straight from the bank and Mr Witheyman photographed her, still in the clothes (or a few of them) that she wore to work that morning.
