Context?
Intrigued by the recent comments on the Ivy League college "Posture Pics" scandal on both here and the "Who Does Your Wife Regret Has Seen Her Naked" thread I decided to check up for further details and can confirm this really IS true! There is an article on the "Miranda" OpenEdition Journals webiste called "We Did What We Were Told" that details that female students entering the Seven Sisters colleges (such as Wellesley, Radcliffe, Bowditch and Smith College to name a few) "endured the notorious, dreaded, rite of passage for Seven Sisters and Ivy League students." (to quote the opening line). It quotes a number of former students (including poet Sylvia Plath) of their experience of their "initiation", with one girl called Lucille from Smith College describing her experience:

"I dreaded the posture pictures…it served no purpose that I could figure out other than a big nightmare standing around naked in these sheets and having to undress (and) reveal everything, front side and back and bend over. I mean it was just horrible."

The link to the article (if permitted on here) can be found in this link here: https://journals.openedition.org/miranda/44430. Apparently this "rite of passage" started in the 1880's right up to 1968 when a newspaper reported that the University of Washington had photographed new female students for their "research laboratory", only for parents to kick up when they found out. This seemed to hasten the decline in universities and colleges snapping their students in the nude and the practice died out (damn!).

However, this is not just a written piece by me confirming what other members have already mentioned on here. Because I have come across what I think (hope) are some such photos from the Seven Sisters colleges of the female students having to endure their "rite of passage" Posture Pics. There are seven I have and I thought I'd upload them here for you all to "study". Apparently dated from the 1940's and 50's.
