I have frequented several naturist beaches in Europe with my wife and I would like to tell you about our experiences.
We went to the beach in Tenerife, everything was beautiful, polite and calm. We also did Formentera in Spain.
Croatia is well organized and there is a lot of respect. Furthermore, the beaches are all protected and it is also possible to stay in campsites or resorts. We saw many families with children peacefully together.
But we come from Italy and this is where we have the most experience.
In Italy the beaches are free, but they are often a meeting place for voyeurs and swingers. My wife doesn't mind being seen even by those who aren't just there to enjoy the sun and the sea, but she doesn't want to have sex or talk to strangers. We have been frequenting these beaches since I was 32 and she was 26. However, it has happened to us several times: the passage of some migrants who also do a light catcalling; the arrival of 13-14 year olds who pass by and laugh; illegal sellers; the local police passed by waving to ask us if we had seen any voyeurs to report.
But we also had the most beautiful experience in a resort in Puglia: lots of sport and activities, always naked. We also took a mini naturist cruise to visit some caves. You remain naked for the entire journey, but the two sailors who were driving the boat did not! Then you always arrive naked at the mouth of the caves and go back. Near the caves there are also other boats that were watching us while we were all naked.
