The first time I saw Maze, I had a flashback to the 80's. This post has resurrected that memory.
So, with a little kind indulgence, I'll relate a quick story.

I once dated a young lady who had been dealt a rather tough hand. She ran away at age 16 to be with her one true love. At age 24, with two tots, her man disappeared with their money and their car. She was forced to go on welfare for the kids sake, but she hated it. She wanted to go back to school.

A local college boasted a rather well regarded art department. The young mother enrolled as a part time student. With the help of an advisor, she was able to barter much of her tuition for modeling in the life study classes. It was a year around job because of the summer semester. In addition, the art department arranged additional outside assignments at other schools and for art groups. She was very attractive and therefore in demand. She was allowed to keep the fees for the outside assignments.

As a part time student, it took the young mother 6 or 7 years to get an accounting degree. For about six years, she spent a significant part of her week appearing in the nude for a roomful of students. Once she adopted a mindset that it was a responsible job, she was fine with it. She would "put her mind in another place". She did feel uncomfortable in certain school related social situations where some of the students made a point of reminding her that they had seen her naked.

The odd thing about the lady was that she was a straight arrow. I met the lady when she was around 28. I was taking a photography class and she was the model. Frankly, I thought I'd have an easy go at her. Wrong. Her clothing was modest, her hemline never went above the knee. If she became aware that somebody had seen up her skirt or down her blouse, she would blush with shame. It was really very strange. We never got to the lover stage, but did become friends.
