We always had awesome company parties where everyone let loose including spouses. I worked in a male dominated industry so having women in the office other than the receptionist wasn’t really a thing. At the time I was middle management and all my buddies were as well but when the boss pays for upscale rooms for everyone and a free dinner, the mood gets more relaxed. At the time, one of the guys who started 9 months after me was pretty conservative and had a conservative wife until you put some drinks in her.
