Default "Medals" to be worn, displayed and appreciated with pride.

Some women (and some men) are ashamed of the stretch marks caused by bringing new life into the world. Are they ashamed of the signs of what enabled the first 9 months of our existence? Or how our mothers fed us? What greater task* is there than creating, nurturing and preserving human life? These are "medals" to be worn, displayed and appreciated with pride.

Even if you consider them to be scars - be proud of them, in the way we look at a soldier's battle scars or the way we see the marks on mature tree bark as beautiful.

* This does not, of course, mean that women's (or men's) opportunities should be restricted only to motherhood (or fatherhood) - unless that is what they freely choose.
