Neighbors had a baby a few weeks ago. We stopped by now that they are allowing visitors.
The new mom said she was going to try to feed the baby to get it to stop crying. She said, "You have two yourself, so I don't need to worry about making a big production out of this, right? I am still learning, though." I said no problem.
She took out both breasts since it's way easier, but here is the strange thing: they appeared SMALLER than when I got an accidental glimpse last year when she wasn't pregnant, AND the areola were REALLY light, despite just having a baby.
I tried not to stare, but they were not what I was expecting to see at all. She smiled and didn't seem at all upset. In fact, I think she was super relaxed that she could be natural and not offending anyone. She is the upper end of GenZ, so I don't know what their attitude about breastfeeding in front of people is these days.
It had been a few years since I saw anyone I know breastfeed since everyone else I know is way beyond having babies, so it was a really nice surprise. Non-sexual, but still very nice to see again!
