But it’s absolutely true that the only possible outcome is for it to deter female riders…whether that’s a lot or insignificant it’s absolutely a deterrent. It’s certainly not HELPING girls to feel safe to ride. I don’t think it’s a question of morality but I do think it’s like the marshmallow question: do you want the clothed pictures now if it means less riders in future or can you stay off that in hopes that girls don’t feel outed and so will continue to ride: if even one finds out in a given city, she’s damn sure gonna spread the word, period
