Age is definitely a factor here. I'm a middle-aged serial monogamist myself, with very few one-night stands. I'm not much into "body-counts"; but off the top of my head, I can count about 12, starting in 1989.
Back then women, for the most part, only shaved their bikini line. The goal was simply to not have hair sticking out from the sides of the bathing suit.
I'll have to go by eras instead of an actual body-count. From 1989 to 1996, all were just "bikini-line trimmed." My first wife started out that way, but then went full shaven in the late 90's; mostly as a result of seeing this growing trend at nudist venues - and jumping on the bandwagon.
After my divorce; and starting from the mid-2000's, it becomes a bit more "mixed", depending on the age of my partner. I had a younger partner for a while, who just had a tiny landing strip. I also had an "older" partner for a while, who was just "bikini-line trimmed." Then I met my wife, who was nearly 40 when we met; and also was just "bikini-line trimmed." She started shaving bald - also as a result of being a nudist. But by far, the majority of my partners were "natural."
If I include nudism, then the trend becomes radically different. Most of our female nudist friends are shaven, or have a "barely there" landing strip. Regardless of age. Exposure to social nudity does seem to skew the average towards a lack of any pubic hair.
