Tanning (privately) with her legs open: "I see other women doing it."
Socializing naked with other nudists: "Other women don't seem to have a problem with it."
Shaving bald: "All the other women are doing it."
Interacting with friends with her labia in full view: "Well such-and-such is doing it!"
I guess I owe a debt of gratitude to all these women who were "doing it." Without them my wife would have never cast away her modesty.
