My wife has a full bush which doesn't spread very far, but it won't fit in all bikini bottoms. The ones which are wider at the front usually cover everything, so in that case, no need to shave. The smaller ones usually require to do a little bit of shaving at the sides. In the past, it happened a few times that she did shave before swimming, so it wouldn't stick out of her bikini or bathing suit.
