They absolutely aren’t. That’s one of the defining features of Bristol calendars - complete commitment to each photo. The photographer they used for 2017 and 2018 (not sure which other years) made a point of the students being completely nude and posing in such a way that their hands or objects they were holding were used to rescue the students’ dignity.

Ultimately what this meant was probably a ton of outtakes. The badminton photo is the best example. Shuttlecocks were humorously and somewhat humiliatingly used to hide actual cocks, and it’s safe to say that every student in the photos full frontally exposed themselves to the photographer.

He was probably let go for being too careless and gung-ho on set. In the music club photo a ton of photoshopping had to be done to hide private parts. I really hope he returns though, and Bristol sells their calendar on the public marketplace once again
