There seems to be a growing rut of fake celeb accounts lately, on insta and FB.. all pretending to be various 'x' tv / sports celebs, "connecting with their real fans" away from management prying eyes, on the (real celeb) a/c..

some are quite convincing, but all soon turn to some ploy, for getting help with paying bills-
be it urgent car repair, phone / internet upgrades, or donations to their "charity"- all unverifiable, naturally!

Some even offer 'extra's, if you send them a gift card for £££- often £200 to300 (or the US dollar equivalent), as a straight payment, or as a 'verification charge' (needed by their management- that sent via a gmail address ??), to gain access to a VIP membership..

Any live video call you try will go unanswered, or get a short edited video of the actual celeb, before it hangs up..

DO NOT FALL FOR THIS! It is a scam all day long, and gets you involved in money laundering.

You will NEVER get to see xyz in the buff, nor meet them privately.

it is very sad, and i fear some vulnerable people will get sucked in.

We dragged a few chats out, doing some wild card / nonsense replies, to see if it was a bot. when i called then out, they got quite defensive!

As if a certain former NCIS star would show their naked body, to total strangers!
