I completely understand the caution, I've been involved with married couples in the past and there has always been a "feeling out" period, a vetting period, a confirming of identity, and in other cases testing.
Also, it is great the confidence is not an issue for your wife but in this case I was suggesting is a way to draw in confident men, who would have the courage to talk to her and pursue her.
