Your wife most certainly did NOT miss the cut.
The issue was the background which was both white and blurred and the lightening of your wife's pics kept causing your wife's image to seemingly fade into the background. Attempts to darken, deepen or add a drop shadow did not work and this time around I did not want to put your wife on the cover with her clothes, I'd rather be nude but her nudes didn't work in this batch.
Because the mid-September issues will be using darker background your wife will most certainly be included and she will be nude.
Nobody ever really misses the cut, it sometimes comes down to an issue of pictures not working with that particular background.
