This was actually our second visit. The first time was in 2014 and it was our first nude experience. We only found out it was mandatory nude when we got there and, as young and prude brits, I’m not sure what we were thinking, but we thankfully took the plunge and have been to a few more places over the last few years.
The spa is at a ski resort so almost all the guests are fit. There are plenty of rooms but they are mostly steam / wet areas rather than dry saunas, with everything close together. The effect is that guests are more inclined to leave their towel in one place and wander around naked. After a coy first trip with plenty of towel use, this time my wife spent the whole time totally naked. Highlights of the trip were a young Spanish or Portuguese couple laid on heated beds in a roman room. I’m inclined to think this is the norm in wider society as most people were just there after a hard day skiing, and many won’t have known it was nude.
