Not quite an event but more a "reference". For Australian readers, it was after a federal election in the late '90s and late into the night it was time for acceptances and speeches and first to get up was the incumbent treasurer, Peter Costello and his 50-something wife Tania. They were excited , she was all over him and my mother, who I was watching it with said: "She's going to have sex with him tonight..." It was the most arousing thing I had ever heard!!
