I would add alteration shops to this list. While the industry is not nearly large as the medical industry, I would bet those that work or have worked in this line of business would say the same. I would especially say for those who have worked in a smaller alterations shop.

From 2014-2000, my wife and I managed a dry cleaning store in our smallish town that also had a clothing alteration shop attached. We had a older Asian lady who did most of the actual alterations while my wife handled the pinning's and fittings. I also helped with measurements and holding the tape for fittings when my wife needed assistance.

A big part of our business was renting out or selling formal attire for different events. This led to our customers having to receive alterations once their clothes arrived. We had one dressing room back in the alteration area that was a decent sized rectangle room with a door that separated it from the rest of the alteration room. The room was big enough for the customers to change and conduct the fitting in the actual room as we had our riser for pinning's also in the dressing room with mirrors.

The setup was ideal for guests as they could change and get the fitting in the same room. However, for those that would try on dresses we had in stock I was the runner and would go and retrieve the different dress sizes and styles while my wife would stay and help the women start prepping or putting on the dresses inside the alteration room.

I would then go back to the alteration room door and knock to leave the dress with my wife as she would open the door and get the dress. After the first few trips my wife would swap out the dresses they had tried on for the new dresses and the majority of the women paid no attention as the door would be open and they would be standing inside wearing their panties, bra or less and never really pay me or anyone else that could see in any attention. I think you had some that probably cared, but most didn't.

Probably the most ironic thing that would occur was when some "Prissy" wife or lady would come in for a fitting and be very uptight about their modesty and being seen by others in the shop, but would completely look over the fact that I was present as they viewed me as the professional helping them get fitted and not as some regular man.

I remember one time we were fitting a formal dress for a black pastors wife as their church was hosting a milestone anniversary appreciation banquet the Saturday evening before their Sunday anniversary service. My wife would always tell the women to bring the undergarments they were going to wear with the dress and shoes to the fitting to make sure the dress was altered correctly and the right length.

The preacher wife had purchased a long black fitted dress from us and had come in for her fitting. My wife explained the told the lady we would be helping her with her fitting. I went and got the dress and when I came back my wife was standing outside the dressing room and the black lady was inside the dressing room with the door closed. My wife knocked and the black woman opened the door slightly and told my wife she was having trouble putting on her shape wear and she needed a little more time. A couple of minutes later the black woman opened the door and grabbed the dress and closed the door back quickly.

A few minutes later she opens the door as she has put the dress on and starts complaining to my wife and I about the sizing around the bust being loose and the need to let the dress out around her stomach/midsection area as she thought it was too tight. Me and my wife start explaining that it was part of the fitting process and assured her it would be corrected after we pinned the dress and made the adjustments.

The lady calmed down and we walk into the dressing room and the lady who was still standing at the door leaves the door open and comes over to start the fitting. During the fitting she started telling my wife how she used to wear girdles under her church outfits, but was trying a body suit she had bought with her to the fitting as she thought it would be more comfortable, but that maybe she had ordered it too small as it was uncomfortable. My wife was trying to encourage the woman to be still as she was pinning as it would throw off the adjustments when she moved.

After a short time my wife finished putting the pins in the dress and my wife told the lady she needed to walk around a bit in the dress and heels to make sure everything moved and fitted right. After a brief walk around the room the lady stopped and said everything was okay and asked my wife if we were finished. I start cleaning up the room.

My wife told her we were finished and the lady said something to the effect of "Well that's great. Now you all are going to have to help me get out of this dress before I pass out". As soon as the black lady said that she pulls off her shoes and started to unzip her dress while coming back up to the riser where my wife and I were, but as she did she stopped looked at the open door and went and closed the door.

She came back up to the riser and my wife helped her unzip the dress and starts helping her get the dress off. My wife then helps her slide out of the dress and she is wearing a black full body shape wear suit that was one piece with like compression style shorts. I continued to clean up and as I am turned toward the riser the black lady leaves the riser and goes over to where her bag is and starts pulling out clothes. She then asks my wife could she help her get out of the suit as she then she reaches up and pulls the straps of the body shaper off and they pulls the entire thing off. I could see everything in the mirrors and the lady was wearing no panties or bra under the suit. All I saw was lots of fairly firm ass and titties as she put back on her underwear and clothes she had worn in never thinking about me. The black woman was a tall thick hipped light skin nice looking black woman probably in her mid 30's.

I still remember that like yesterday as it was so unexpected due to who the lady was. My wife never said anything about it as it was really not all that uncommon for us to experience nudity. I doubt she really thought anything of it, but for me it is timestamped in my memory just because of how the lady had been acting, what the fitting was for and how she had closed the door with me inside.

COVID ended our dry cleaning business and I really have no plans to ever go back to work, but I certainly saw some "pious" wives who came in and rented formal attire over the course of a few years and bet some other men working in this profession has also.
