I find the dynamics at play to be fascinating.
It’s only my closest friends that I’ve shared or want to share pictures with. First off, there’s a certain amount of trust that it’ll stay between just us. And after that, there’s the thrill I get out of seeing thier wives, as well as one that I get from knowing that they are enjoying seeing mine. It kind of goes back to the old High School mentality of wanting to be the guy dating the hottest girl you can for what it means for your rep. Plus it makes for an exciting atmosphere when your at something like a wedding and switch dance partners for a song.
On the other hand, the experinces that I’ve had when things with other couples actually esculated (or I wanted them to) past the typical point we planned on have always been with fringe friends that arent a part of our every day life. That seperation just make it easier that ‘what happened, happened’ and we don’t really have to confront it constantly. Sometimes that meant a one and done experience, sometimes it led to more. But that flexibility was helpful.
And finally, there are just some friends I don’t want to include at all. Maybe it’s just that the vibe is wrong, but they end up having no idea of the truth.
