Default Wife may have gotten it from a co-worker

My wife worked alongside this guy who had a thing for her. My wife was edgy and rode her own motorcycle and drank with the best of them. His wife was a prim and proper thing that never slugged down a beer and drove only Cadillacs. One week he told my wife that they needed a house sitter for their dogs. He asked her to start the housesitting job on Thursday night while he and his wife went to visit her folks. I had a night class on Thursday night, which didn't get finished until 10:00 p.m. His house was too far for me to drive from my college late at night, so I told me wife that I would just sleep at home Thursday and join her for the weekend on Friday afternoon after we both were off.

So, things seemed to work as ordered that Thursday night and we got back together and spent the weekend in his luxurious place. I thought things had been right on schedule. That was until weeks later I received a message from the guy's wife saying that I better watch out for he and my wife. It seems that his wife had spent the entire week with her folks, and he didn't leave for his trip to her folks until Friday morning after spending Thursday night at home with my housesitting wife. His wife also wrote my wife a note saying that she hoped that one day that she could find happiness without looking at other people's husbands for their enjoyment. She enclosed a copy of this letter with the letter to me detailing what she thought had happened. I, of course, asked my wife about the incident. She swore that the guy left his home right after work on Thursday prior to her arrival to housesit. She said that he must have had car trouble or some delay on the way to her folks that Thursday night. I called and asked him about his Thursday night travel, and he claimed that he had a car breakdown and had to spend the night on the road part way to his in-laws' house. Either that was the truth, or he and my wife got their alibies straight in a hurry. All I know is that his wife didn't buy any of it. And that was the last housesitting my wife did for him -- regardless of what she sat upon that night.
