I think most women in medical situations turn off their modesty switch.
When my first wife was having our daughter, she had some concerns about not being able to breastfeed due to her tiny nipples. There were a few people (a doc and a couple of nurses) in the room at the time, and my wife unhesitantly pulled down her gown to ask the "professionals" if she was going to have problems breastfeeding. The conversation went on for a few minutes, with everyone looking at her boobs and giving their expert opinion. One nurse even pulled on her nipples to see how far they extended! My wife had never just "hung out topless" like that in front of people before. Once we left the hospital she went right back to her prudish ways (she did eventually become a nudist; but that was years later.)
