Just browsed a few breast exam videos to see if it’s a cultural thing, but didn’t see any videos where the clinician used gloves, so doesn’t seem to be standard practice.

Thanks eviltwin, for mentioning that. While my wife's old gyno didn't use gloves, but her new gyno uses gloves throughout the entire exam. Perhaps he suffers from eczema.
