I currently have a friend and her entire family sleeps in a single half-story attic bedroom upstairs, literally with 5 beds all in a row.
I can only speak of my friend because of the age thing (at least my friend is over 18...she is 49, ha!), but I do know that she has no privacy because she complains to me about it sometimes. She also has no curtain whatsoever on her only bathroom window which faces her backyard. I know for a fact that she has taken baths when there were visitors in the backyard. Unfortunately, I have never been there while she is in the bath, but I know for a fact that her husband's friends have. Each time I am visiting my friend in the backyard and I see her bathroom window, I can't help but wonder what her husband's friends have seen while visiting.
One time I was using her bathroom, standing there in front of this large uncovered window while she and another friend were walking around the backyard. It was a weird feeling knowing that there were two women out there that could see me with very little effort if they simply chose to, and there was nothing I could do about it, and this was the norm at this house. Who else experienced this there, I would wonder.
She is European, which makes a lot of things different, I am sure, but the husband's friends and I are not, so it makes it more curious if there is a disconnect there between what she thinks is happening (no big deal; them not noticing) and what is really happening (they are staring and banging their wives extra hard those nights)!
