Everyone thought she'd shaved off all of her pubic hair, which was unheard of at the time. The Barbara Crampton Reanimator full frontal scene was incredible. I saw that film when it first came out, and the entire theater gasped when they put the severed head between her legs. Barbara Crampton sarcastically refers to that as "her mother's favorite scene".
The actor who played the severed head caught flak from his wife over it, too. According to Barbara Crampton, she turned to him during the screening and said with disgust "How could you?" They sure don't make 'em like that anymore.
Re-Animator with Jeffery Combs and Barbara Crampton-- a true classic. Combs is an under rated actor who deserves more credit that he usually receives. Sort of like Andrew Robinson. And Crampton was lovely. I also liked her in "From Beyond" (1986) and also starring Combs as well as Ken Foree of "Dawn of the Dead" fame.

Let me ask you...do you remember a Canadian film from the early 80's (?) based maybe on a Lovecraft story as well-- it was about a low level hospital tech who discovers the work of a dead scientist and gets mental powers. However, there's a catch-- his brain become so developed that it actually leaves his skull in the end and grows stalks to get around. I can't remember the title or actors.

I thought it was 1979's "The Demon" but that's another film-- one with some great undie and nudity footage BTW

Thx.
