At B. Dalton's I remember there was a huge magazine rack with all sorts of mags with almost anything you could want. What always caught my eye, though, were the lurid covers of "Official Detective" and other mags like it. Always some damsel in distress, usually in her underwear and restrained.

Yep, those types of magazines were always laying on the table at the barber shop. It was a very different world.
