I do remember those lingerie books in a vague way but can't recall them at the book store. In my Air Force days overseas, I remember those types of books and more at the base package store--- booze, cigarettes, and porn... back in the days when men were men and sheep were nervous...

At B. Dalton's I remember there was a huge magazine rack with all sorts of mags with almost anything you could want. What always caught my eye, though, were the lurid covers of "Official Detective" and other mags like it. Always some damsel in distress, usually in her underwear and restrained.
