Cool 1st hand accounts SyFoster. Just curious, where were these locations ? I'm in SE FL, one of the larger tourist centered areas of America, so adult entertainment was always around in one way or another.
It seems as if adult 'book stores' / theater places have really suffered big time from the internet & all the free, super cheap porn available to us Humans at the clock of a button.
Adult strip clubs are now common place around here and if one has the dough and inclination, then sure, you can screw most of the strippers. (not an inexpensive endeavor of course).
There are still booth places/theaters, yet like I stated, mostly gay cruisers, a few cross dressers. Hetero action is quite rare, yet it does occur per the store clerks I've befriended.
Also, one important aspect I've noticed and you touched upon is sadly, the stupid local LEOs are pretty aggressive in shutting down rogue, off the cuff degeneracy...truly sucks. Local cop depts. periodically like to do raids or hassle some of the theater/adult places...I have little doubt it's basically a form of shake down by usual shady local cops/zoning. I mean, how the hell would they even know about quasi-legal action in private property places that the general curious public would rarely wander into??
always bothered me because in any City, there are lots of other issues/crime to go after.
Anyway, wonder where they receive their 'tips'...the business obviously would not bring ill repute to themselves. I think the cops always have these places on their radar and when they get bored or have to fill out some manner of action report, they attack these places , total low hanging fruit.
There are a couple of true adult theaters around here (like live fossils from a bygone era), the screen is medium sized, seating theater style, yet modest # of seats. One other places, 'adult superstore style' catering to couples/women as well as rare section with private booths (mostly gays) and 2 living room size rooms with sofas, couch style, more like a very large TV screen set-up than a true 'Theater'. bit pricey, yet have heard of more consistent hot wife/female sl*t action happens. Maybe I will check it out this weekend.
