Our neighborhood surrounds a lake and a brisk walk gives me a good 2 mile workout. I usually take a lap once in the morning and once after work. One afternoon I got about halfway and the sky opened up, it was raining buckets, I heard a voice yell, "over here, come get out of the rain". I saw on open garage door and ran toward it, soaking wet, but out of the rain. The recognized the woman from a block party, we introduced each other, I thanked her for the shelter, she went in for a second and came out with a towel, I pealed off my wet shirt and wrapped the towel around my shoulders. She took my shirt and threw it in the dryer.

She said she was just finished cleaning her brushes and invited me in. As soon as I went in it was obvious she was an artist and a good one. I commented and she offered me a tour, she did some portraits, landscapes, still life, hanging in her bedroom was a life sized nude of her posing in a garden. She gave me the whole story of how she posed and her BF took the pictures which she transformed into a painting. She said that was the only painting not for sale, the rest of the ones were her unsold stuff. She wasn't the least bit shy over me looking at her nude realistic painting.

My wife and I ended up buying one of the landscapes.
