I don't know about those forecasting doom for WNBRs, though. In the UK, here, people have been forecasting doom for a
long time now. One could argue that the high tide in 2015/6 was caused by many things, not least as rainy years preceded them.
Protests about oil use are surely now just coming into their prime, and if fewer cyclists have been dying on city streets it's surely only bc of the pandemic and homeworking, and even that has materially affected self confidence and concern about being in large groups. As an aside, I'm confident that many here share my reticence about contributing bc we know that participants of all ilk drop in on forums like this. Perhaps that has itself driven the rise of commercial exhibitionists on the ride. Perhaps not. But I always think that should affect the tone of contributions here.
All I'm saying is it's depressing reading people forecasting doom. Let's just enjoy what arises without potentially jinxing events, huh. I'm not complaining about accurate reportage by people who attend and know what they're talking about. I'm talking about people complaining as if it's a god given right that all these people should be naked for other's pleasure. That's not what WNBRs are about.
