In this case I believe it is more like a group of friends going on holiday with a van. Easy to travel, you can free camp around on beautiful places. These girls are young, most likely students or just finished uni...who knows. So why not traveling that way? In the end it's cheap if you think about it, you just have to share the gasoline cost...
Then off course you have van life people but again except a few ones advertising their "wonderful" life on Instagram calling themselves influencers the rest are regular people who most likely got bored of the system we're living in and decided for a nomad way of life. Why not? I've met a few of them along the years, these are people who either managed to put a bit of money by side and decided to travel or quite a lot of them are selling handmade creations from jewels to pottery, drawings, paintings and similar. No need to belong to a rich family in my opinion.
