Another time it was a family with a boy and a girl, where the mother had to persuade the daughter to drop her bikini that they could stay - it seems that her biggest problem was to be seen naked by her brother and father.

These are 3 great examples proving again and again that once people give public nudity a try, they actually enjoy it and don't bother covering up or aren't shy at all anymore.
I've had similar experiences, including a previous girlfriend, my wife, SIL, niece, female friend etc. Hardest part is always gathering the courage and those first 15 minutes naked. And afterwards the most heard comment is: "Why haven't we tried this sooner?"
