Its about 1/2 mile level walk east from the main Palace Pier, or take the Volkd electric railway (open summer months), towards the Marina, and walk back 100 yards or so from the end station / carpark.
It tends to be busier at weekend.. Rather a mixed bag of folks, whenever we go. Treat gawkers with stones or shouts, and they soon scarper!
NB: one exception is WNBR, when it seems half of Brighton rocks up, and quite openly photographs / films whoever takes their eye..)
Toilets on the pier, or bars on Madeira Drive - alternatively, use the cinema at the marina multi storey car park(free parking there too, I think?) .
