In the mid-80s I dropped off my prescription for new glasses at the local JC Penny optical shop. The gal who was tending shop was VERY attractive. It was snowing and the store was very dead, same with the optical shop so she was the only one there. I had no where to be in the lousy weather so I stayed there and kept her company for about a half hour or so.
A few weeks later I picked up the newest Gallery magazine and she was chosen the "Girl Next Door" for the month. Hot damn, can't wait to pick up my glasses. I looked forward with anticipation to picking up my glasses! When the time came I asked where she was, and was told she quit a week earlier.
Bummer...
