Default Boudoir sessions

I spent years as a professional photographer
I did many types of shoots, portraits, sports, commercial but also I did many boudoir sessions.
I always chatted with the client doing what I could to make her (sometimes him) comfortable. I always made it clear that they were welcome to have a friend sit in but supprisingly few ever did. I always tried to work out a fun theme for the shoot and went over the outfits that would be worn. I would tell the models to make sure their hair and nails were done nicely as nothing shows up worse on the final images than chipped nails or bad hair.
Once we got through that I would ask the model to put on a comfy robe so we could do some preliminary lighting checks.
Never would I pressure the model to show more than he or she was ok with. I would crack lighthearted jokes and try to keep it fun.
I found one of the biggest problems was figuring out where the shoot would be done. Hotels were usually too sterile and also added a lot to the cost. Doing the shoots in the models home was always the best if it could be worked out.
Never had much problems with getting the amount of nudity that the model wanted. I would just try to keep it fun and keep it moving tight along.
Typically I would take hundreds of shots and then cull them down to about thirty or so.
It was a fun way to brighten up my schedule and I always tried hard to make it a hoot for the model
Towards the end I ended up doing a lot of “Dudouir” sessions. Didn’t bother me as long as they were happy and paid.
