This is another trip into the TV archives, and another rare clip involving actress Charon Bourke, who is now probably best remembered as the miserable daughter from Inspector Wexford from 1988 to 2000. She made her screen debut in Leonard Rossiter's last TV appearance in the sitcom Tripper's Day in 1984, and was still early into her career when she then appeared in this drama from an anthology series called Summer Season in 1985. The episode itself was called Glamour Night, and involved Charon as an amateur model who was called in to pose for a group of photographers, including Philip Jackson (Inspector Japp from Poirot), Reece Dinsdale and Rodney Bewes (The Likely Lads).

And they prove quite the likely lads here, as unbeknownst to her they plan to get her nude, and over the course of this clip they cajole and coerce her into removing her clothes as she becomes more and more unsure. "I wouldn't ask you to do this if I didn't think you could handle it," says Jackson, who does a great sleazy patter and actually suits a moustache. When she realizes they want her to go topless, she asks "They are not for publication or anything, are they?" But of course they want more, and as it progresses she gets angry and eventually strips completely naked to shock them as she asks who is going to be the first to give her a 'crotch shot.' Embarrassed, the photographers go, leaving Charon to get dressed.

The video itself was found online, and seems to of been someone's old recording, as it plays up a couple of times, but it still plays fine. I have also added a zoomed clip of the frontal scene at the end, though the quality isn't so great. However, it's still a rare TV recording, and as for Charon this was her only nude scene in her career before finding fame in Inspector Wexford in 1988. Well, as they say with fame, you've got to start somewhere, and it might as well be in stuff like this!
