We've done the same thing. I drop her off at the door and let her go into the bar or lounge while I park the car. That's usually enough time. When I go in, I sit close, but not next to her, and order as I watch. It usually doesn't take long, especially in a hotel lounge.
I like to watch them look her over, come over and hit on her, rub her back, buy her a drink. She's quite the flirt but eventually lets them down easy by telling them that her husband should be here soon. Some guys will still hang in there.
After finishing my drink, I leave when they're distracted and then re-enter and join her. Any hang-arounds usually leave then, lol.
The same thing happens all the time with a clerk at a convienience store near me and he knows she's married. If she goes in alone, they'll flirt pretty hard. He knows who I am and although he's friendly, he never mentions it to me.
