Firstly, I really enjoy and think the key in this forum is reading detailed stories, and in that sense I’ll do my best to set the scene as shortly, but as detailed as possible. Please keep in mind that English is not my first language, so readers be aware!

When I was 14 I had a really good friend, that I met because he was my neighbor. Let’s call him Mike. We used to live in a building that had two apartments per floor. The only window of our respective bedrooms faced each other with not much distance in the middle, so we chatted normally from our respective bedrooms, and we could easily see what was happening in each other’s apartment.

Mike lived with his parents, until one day his really cool dad left. We were all pretty bummed. Mike, being a single child, now lived only with his mom.
