I hope you NEVER retire Lauren. Surely you learned that lesson when you deleted your story "Nothing to Hide." People were FURIOUS and a valuable story was lost forever. Yes, I do realize that retiring a story at Chyoa isn't the same as deleting a story but the same thing holds true - that new, future storylines of this fabulous character will be lost forever.
So my recommendation - given with all due respect - the next time you even THINK of retiring Lauren just start bashing your head with a rubber baseball bat and saying over and over, "Don't be so daft; Don't be so daft, don't be so daft!" It will save all your fans the trouble of doing it for you.
Congrats on probably the most successful story - certainly the LARGEST story Chyoa has ever seen.
