I already wrote this in another thread, some 25 years ago I used to go on holiday in Greece a lot, and on practically any beach I went, no matter if secluded or packed with people, loads of women in a wide age range (early 20s to early 40s) regularly sunbathed topless or nude and would change clothes on the beach without a care in the world. Occasionally, but more rarely, even teenaged girls on holiday with their families would do the same.

Then, with time, from about the mid 2000s, this relaxed attitude changed a lot. I used to think that this was due to the increased availability of camera phones and the spread of the Internet, which made women afraid of the possibility of someone taking pics and spreading them online, but I've come to the opinion that it's just society that has become quite more conservative than it used to be.
Yes I completely agree. The Gen x ladies just far cooler about people accidentally, or even on purpose if friends and sunbathing, seeing their boobs. They just seem to not really care or laugh it off. I think the Millenial (and I'm only using tags because its shorthand and easier, I know it's not that simple) attitude is all about appearances, and managing their own press release. I think it might be more about lack of control than anything else.

I'm not convinced about the gen Zs being the same though. Ive sensed a little shift in the 18, 19, 20 ish women I see. They seem more comfortable in the braless, baggy tops and various other items that might cause some inadvertent slips etc. They dont seem especially careful.
I've not seem this translate into an uptick in topless sunbathing yet, but then again there hasn't really been the chance with the limited travel allowed. Let's hope Gen Z step up to the plate and reverse the mellenial shy trend and we get back to ladies wanting to confidentally shed their tops on beaches as much as the boomers and gen xers did back in old days.
