I can only speak for myself, but as someone who has taken part, and taken photos, in London’s WNBR in previous years I just didn’t feel comfortable attending this year - being around potentially large groups of people and having to travel on public transport to get there. We’re still seeing about 30,000 new cases of the virus every day. Plus a date in August isn’t as convenient as a date in June for me.
I can’t say for sure, but I suspect I’m not the only one with this opinion, and I think that’s why there was a much lower attendance and general interest this year.
But all being well, if it’s generally safer to attend such events next year and it takes place in June like usual then I’ll be taking my clothes off and getting involved once again.
