He actually stopped just after he passed me, then aimed his super soaker gun directly at my camera and lens, this was not just a quick squirt it was prolonged, and aimed directly at the camera, of course as I moved towards him, he rode off.
I have heard of a number of photographers also having the same problem, and at least one made a complaint to the police.
The first picture below is mine, and the 2nd is from another photographer in a different location.
I hope that the organisers don't condone this attempt at criminal damage.

He got me too. I got "liquid" on my camera and on my face! With Covid still a concern I was very shocked. I hope it was water but could have been anything. I should have made a comlpaint. His point was we shouldnt take pictures but it's ok to spray random people with a super soaker.
