For over a century, the city of San Francisco allowed unrestricted public nudity. The city changed the law to require a parade permit for certain displays of public nudity, which came into effect 1st February 2013. Gypsy Taub and other prominent nudist activists are seen protesting at their 'Nude In' in the days before the law was enacted.
