The first of an occasional series…
When I was 18 I got sent on a two week company residential course. I wasn’t supposed to be there, most of the others were substantially older than me and were office managers. There were about 16 of us, 12 were in their 40s or 50s, two of us were 18, and there were two women in their late 20s. Over the fortnight I got close to one of those women. We flirted. Well, she flirted I was kind of awkward, called her Mam, and mocked her Geordie accent.
On the last night of the fortnight she and I were the last ones in the lounge of the training house. We had had a few drinks and it came as a shock to me when our teasing turned to kissing.
I’d like to be able to tell you that we spent the night in bed together and that she came loud and often. That didn’t happen because at 18 I wasn’t ready.
