I was dating this girl in college, in 1969 Hurricane Camille came close to where she lived, luckily they were spared the brunt. She lived with her mother, I tried to talk them into evacuating but mama said they'd be alright, hard headed woman. I decided I'd go over there to check if they had prepared, they had not. I brought batteries, candles, water and a few other essentials. By the time I finished the news showed that it looked like some winds were coming, but they were far away from the Gulf that they didn't have to worry about storm surge.

I decided to stay the evening with them, the drive back home looked dicey anyway, I called family to let them know where I was. By about 9:00 mom had her 4th daiquiri and was sound asleep, so me and my GF cuddled up to watch the storm news just as the power went out. At this point I had only done some heavy petting with her, but the storm was howling outside, trees branches were bumping the windows and this feeling of closeness during a maelstrom took over. We slowly undressed each other, with no AC the house was getting pretty warm, so we had the most passionate sex I ever had to that point. The storm just seemed to encourage us.

We fell asleep. we woke up after the worst was over, got dressed before mom was up. We took a shower together and I went home. We dated for a few more months, but nothing matched that night.
